Truck 5
Boise Fire Department got its roots with the beginning of a volunteer fire department in 1876.  In 1906, though, with 28 men on the roster, Boise Fire Department became a full-time paid city fire department.  Today, Boise Fire serves a city population of 196,000 people and provides automatic and mutual aid to Ada County, with a combined force of 14 stations and planning for future growth.

TRUCK 5 -

The newest addition to the Boise Fire fleet is Truck 5, which now covers the downtown area.  Truck 1, which was in service in some form or another for over 132 years, has become Truck 7.  Truck 5 is built on a Spartan Gladiator chassis with a tillered aerial of 103 feet. In a joint effort between Crimson Fire (a division of Spartan Motors) and Boise Mobile Equipment, the chassis is labeled as a Crimson Fire Apparatus.
